Massimo Pigliussi: Well, it seems to me, in order to talk about a hypothesis, you really have to have something fairly well articulated, coherent, that makes predictions that are actually falsifiable. All that sort of stuff. And concepts of god, first of all, are heterogeneous. Lets not forget, its not like all people on earth believe in a particular kind of god. There is all sorts of stuff out there. But all these concepts are incoherent, badly put together, if put together at all. So to say that science defeats the god hypothesis is actually even to give too much to the concept of god. There is nothing to defeat there. Its an incoherent, badly articulated concept.
