Canadian Anvil is in Borlänge. A band that harrowed at Gigs, but that got a boost after an acclaimed documentary. DT met the band backstage before the gig at Lily tonight. - We are more famous now, says drummer Robb Reiner Steve Lips Kudlow and Robb Reiners radar pair behind Anvil and have been together since the band formed in Toronto in 1978. For DT they talk about the good contact with Sweden. - We feel like home, its the same nature. There are moose both here and at home, says Steve Lips Kudlow and laughs. That they have loyal Swedish fans turned out not least since some for a couple of years ago she launched a campaign to Anvil song Metal on metal would end up one on the download list in Sweden: Anvil Aid. They did not know how they would react. - I thought: Why Us? says Lips. But it was just to thank and receive, and since then they have visited the country several times. Reportedly, Anvil pulling up the volume properly on Lily in Borlänge. But thats the way it must be, they say. - Rocknroll be played loud. And I have to drown out the drums. Anders Gustafsson K
