Carbs and Natural Bodybuilding. Following the carbohydrate, eating and loading protocols of the super freak bodybuilders is not for natural bodybuilders. Testosterone (and similar compounds but not GH) increases the insulin sensitivity allowing the super freak to take high carbohydrate loads booth off season and while dieting. Also there carb loading protocol can be shorter. So if you are natural your calories have to be allot tighter with a lower carbohydrate load. And your loading protocol would probably have to be stretched out. I say this with the preface that everyone is different with their carb tolerance, is genetic... based on age... condition and training protocol etc. Also as you diet over the 20 weeks or so your carb tolerance will change. So I would suggest for natural bodybuilders to bring the carbs in over a longer period of time and slower and bring enough in to feel good not to blow up. The idea of carb loading is for you to be able to get a pump and feel full. Not gain 10lbs in 2 days, if done right you might only go up 3-4 lbs over 3-5 days but you will feel good.
