Chamber Post: Bernards Township, NJ: (BERNARDS TOWNSHIP, NJ) The Pleasant Valley Swim Team is a competitive, coed team, comprised of pool members up to 18 years old and competes in the Morris County Summer Swim League. Swimmers are expected to be proficient in two strokes (Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and Backstroke) and must be able to dive. Boys and girls compete in separate races and are grouped as: 8 and under, 9/10 (Swim 25 meters); and 11/12, 13/14, 15 and over (Swim 50 meters). Each child must have a valid pool membership to register. TRYOUTS: All new members, and members moving up from pre-team, are required to attend a Tryout at Pleasant Valley Pool on: Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 9:30am. NEW swimmers who do not attend a tryout, will NOT be accepted into the program. Tryouts will determine placement on either the Swim Team, Pre-Team or recommended for lessons. Placement decisions are final. Full refunds will be given to any child that does not qualify for either team after trying out.
