Concordia University Michigan uses big second inning to beat Davenport University, 12-2 A seven-run explosion in the second inning spurred Concordia University Michigan to a 12-2 win in six innings over Davenport University at Adrian Heritage Park field# four on Saturday. Concordia University Michigan scored in the second on a two-run single by Jessica Barjaktarovich, an RBI single by Jordyn Fryz, an RBI single by Becky Morrin, and a three-run home run by Samantha Capuzzi. Concordia University Michigan was led by Iesha Waterss hitting. Waters went 3-4 and scored two runs. She singled in the second innings and tripled in the sixth inning. Corrina Rotondo got it done on the rubber on the way to a win. She pitched three shutout innings. Rotondo struck out none, walked none and gave up four hits. Concordia University Michigan easily handled Davenport University pitching as six hitters combined for 12 hits, nine RBIs and 10 runs scored. Concordia University Michigan piled on four more runs in the top of the fifth. Barjaktarovich started the inning with a single, scoring Lindsey Pyle. That was followed up by Fryzs double, plating Barjaktarovich and Rotondo.
