Congratulations Lily and Phillip! Lily Gomez and Phillip Townsend were married on Thursday, June 6 in Labor and Delivery at Norton Womens and Kosair Childrens Hospital - St. Matthews. Lily and Phillip were planning to be married next week. That was until she was transported from Hopkinsville, KY as a high risk maternal patient. When she was hospitalized and told she would remain until she delivered, Lily began talking to her nurse about their wedding planning. Given the hospitals time constraints and the maternal medical condition, Lily and Phillip were married in the labor and delivery room. The ceremony was complete with Lilys father walking her down the aisle, a room decorated by her nurses and a special meal & wedding cake prepared by the hospitals food and nutrition department. Special thanks to Chaplain Adam Ruiz for arranging for someone to perform the ceremony and to Josephs Salon and Spa for coming to do Lilys hair, makeup and nails.
