Congratulations everyone for a tremendous concert on Saturday; certainly one of, if not the best concert I’ve done with you. Someone said that though they do not usually sit at the front and might have missed this at previous concerts, that they did actually catch sight of me smiling! It seemed everyone was confident with the music and thus, all the musical shaping we had worked on came out in the performance. It was great to see so many heads up watching the conductor which enhanced the vocal sound and projection. It was also, lovely to perform for a full house (+ a few more) so thank you for dragooning your friends and family into coming – this certainly helps with planning ambitious repertoire. I’ve really enjoyed this term culminating in Saturday’s concert. Well done and thank you again. As always there are many people to thank: all of the committee and those who helped with particular tasks on the day. If you have any comments regarding rehearsals or your experience of the evening please pass them through your voice rep. I assure you, we do try to plan carefully in an effort to make the experience enjoyable but I rarely experience the final rehearsal and concert from your vantage point.
