Consider how God might enter existence, which I think all would agree that currently God is outside existence. Immanuel Kant proved philosophically that metaphysics as a space outside reality could not be disproved. Therefore, if we must entertain the possibility of the existence of something outside of existence itself, then such a presence may well want to collapse all that is outside of existence and enter the physical realm. There are several reasons I could go into as to why such a think would be useful; however, I am really just interested in providing an intro into a line of thought explored in this video.
