Please be advised that Ma Tau Wan beach falls outside country park and its management is not under the purview of this Department. Nonetheless, to maintain the cleanliness of the country parks and geoparks, various signs and banners are erected along the hiking trails to advise hikers to take away rubbish and keep country parks clean. Green tips are also included in our publicity materials and publications to promote waste reduction in country parks. You may also wish to know that the Government have stepped up its publicity and educational efforts to remind members of the public to reduce waste at source and avoid using disposable items to keep the shorelines clean.
