DAY #21 – THE FIRST ADVENT: The term “advent” literally means “coming”. Meaning, Advent is a season in which the Christian church celebrates the coming in flesh of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It all begins with the Old Testament prophecies that point forward to the coming incarnation of Christ. The Gospel of John reveals that this hope was alive and well in the first century (John 1: 21, 6: 14, 7: 40), and Stephen completely identifies Jesus as the ultimate fulfillment of those prophecies in the passionate sermon that he was martyred for (Acts 7: 37-38). The beauty of the gospel is that Abraham was promised a royal seed – that is Christ. The Apostle Paul explains that all who are clothed in Christ establish one consistent chosen covenant community connected by the cross. “If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heir according to the promise.” (Galatians 3: 29) **To “share”, copy and paste this text and enjoy this song selection -- https://youtube/watch?v=0hP83Bd18RE
