DC finalize arrangement for 4th Mughal Rally- A meeting to finalize the arrangements for the conducts of 4th Mughal Rally-2013 which is scheduled to pass through Shopian on June 28th, 2013 was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Shopian here today. Among others Superintendent of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief Medical officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Executive Engineer, R&B, Division, Assistant Regional Transport officer, Executive officer, Municipal Committee and Representatives of Divisional Forest officer were attended the meeting. The Chief Medical officer, Shopian informed that he has constituted five medical team one each at Pir Ki Gali, Lal Gulam, Dubjan, Heerpora and Tokroo. The teams for Pir Ki Gali, Lal Gulam and Dubjan will leave Shopian in the forenoon of 27th and stay for the night at Mughal Sarai. The CMO Shopian was directed to deploy ambulances fully equipped with oxygen and trauma care related supplies (oxygen Cylinders, orthopaedic supplies, splinting) and doctors, trained staff and experienced drivers especially at Pir Ki Gali, Dugjan, Panar Bridge and Bufliaz Bridge. 4x4 ambulances will be deployed whenever necessary and in case Health Department do not have such vehicles, same will be provided by the HCC through the Chief Engineer, Mughal Road. The CMC Shopian will provide complete list of Hospitals, Health Centers etc along the route (with the contact numbers of key persons in charge and doctors at site) to Himalayan Motorsport Association and J&K Tourism Department in advance. The concerned Departments will provide mineral water and install welcome banners at various locations en-route. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Shopian will ensure that no traffic movement is allowed from Heerpora onwards after 27th of June, afternoon till completion of rally on the Mughal road. The Army authorities will ensure that no convoy movement takes place on the route on the day of the rally i.e 28th of June 2013. The Superintendent of Police, Shopian in coordination with Traffic Department and Army will ensure that adequate manpower is made available en-route the rally up-to peer ki Gal. It was further decided that Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic (Rural) shall arrange recovery cranes to be stationed at Zaznar, Dubjan and Pir Ki Gali to assist vehicles which may get stuck or break down. The HCC authorities will position a 4x4 truck or excavator at landslide prone area between Pir Ki Gali and Zaznar. It was also decided that Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) would ensure engagement of wireless operators with the recovery cranes in coordination with Superintendent of Police Shopian.
