DEVELOPMENT LACKS IMPETUS AND MEANINGFUL DIRECTION IN RAMNAGAR:PATHANIA. Ramnagar: - After conducting an extensive visit of the hilly areas of Ramnagar and then addressing a massive public meeting at Dak Bungalow, Ramnagar, Mr. R. S. Pathania, General Secretary, Pradesh Youth Congress, has sought accelerating developmental impetus in Ramnagar. Road-projects and other centrally-sponsored schemes and bridges started since the past decade and a half are still incomplete. Whereas completion period for PMGSY roads was one and a half year and that PMGSY road projects upto Pachound, Parla Chakal, Joffer, Bari-Laddana, Katwalt, Lehri Shumb-Gagote, Pinger-Bainsta, Rang Bland, Sundla, Palnu, Pathwar and many other villages are hanging mid-way while public money has been squandered wilfully with least benefit/utility to the public at large. Work on multi-crore Roun-Ramnagar road-widening was started in 2007 but still it is incomplete. Motorable bridge over Tawi river near Roun Domel is still to be completed. Buildings, bridges and culverts sratde years and years back are still incomplete with least monitoring and accountability over the same. Mr. Pathania reiterated popular demands of Ramnagar as employment for youth of Ramnagar, tapping of potential in fields of tourism, pilgrimage, educational and adventure tourism, horticulture, sericulture, apiculture He also voiced demands of a Sub-district Hospital in Majalta and Accidental Hospital at Dhar Road, Manwal and a C.H.C. at Basantgarh have been let down. He has also sought better healthcare, animal healthcare facilities for people of the area. He sought connecting of Basantgarh-Khaned road to Macchedi-Lohai/Malhar in Kathua district and start of work on Dudu to Kailash road thereby create an effective road-links for the peoples of three districts separated from each other by geographical barriers. He has sought immediate black-topping of Ramnagar to Basantgarh and Ramnagar to Dudu roads. He has also sought connecting of Basantgarh-Khaned road to Macchedi/Lohai-Malhar in Kathua district and start work on Dudu to Kailash road thereby create an effective road-links for the peoples of three districts separated from each other by geographical barriers.
