DNR has recently completed an engineering assessment on the cable - TopicsExpress

DNR has recently completed an engineering assessment on the cable bridge and this was the result. Based upon recommendations resulting from a recent inspection of the Tidnish River Suspension Bridge, the bridge will be barricaded to all users until the Department has had the opportunity to effect repairs to the western approach ramp. Work is slated to begin in the new year. No date for reopening the structure has been determined. The good news is DNR will be providing the required materials and the snowmobile club will coordinate the repair which is to replace the beams under the decking of the approach adjacent Ketchum Drive. The 2 logs that are in place now are rotten and broken, and it is only a matter of time before they fail.
