DO NOT quote me any traditional religious dogma as a standard of absolutes... As wide open as interpretation is and as important as historical context (whos in power and why) regarding all religions... Its just not conscious considering the BLATANT hypocrisies found in most religious texts if read objectively... It personally amazes me how people that look like me... Descendants of SLAVES whos ancestors were FORCE FED (Christianity) upon death during our ancestors prolific hardships of chattel slavery can with a straight face vehemently defend and participate in other peoples oppression... I mean Im in awe... Do we need another SELMA to reintroduce how Masters used the very book you quote to keep our forefathers in bondage? Those people with bats and bobbed wire as depicted in Selma considered themselves to be doing Gods work. (racial hierarchy and oppression go all the way back to ancient times and evidence of it is passed around right there in our bibles ) Im not a hater of ANY religion, on the contrary I think spiritual practices can have GREAT benefit IF religion is handled with consciousness, empathy and the realization that EVERYONE IS RIGHT and has the right to practice or not to practice your particular beliefs. (but can this happen if your particular religion teaches you that your way is the ONLY way and everyone around that doesnt believe what you believe (again WIDE OPEN TO INTERPRETATION) is abominable? The overwhelming historical degradation, death and pain that un/organized pecking order/religion has done to mankind is just blatant
