DON’T STOP LEARNING "Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; …" Proverbs 2:3 - 4 "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young”. Those were the words of Henry Ford, the great American industrialist, himself an avid learner. It is indeed a real tragedy when a young man has his head in the clouds because of a little knowledge he has acquired. He does not know all he could, and yet he is strutting all around, throwing airs, and proud of his small accomplishment. Your constant pursuit of learning creates limitless opportunities for you in the future. Knowledge is power and who has it is destined to lead those who don’t. No knowledge is lost. So, treasure learning in your heart and even if you don’t need it now in the classroom you will, someday, in the boardroom! To be a leader of men in this information-driven age you need a wide breadth of general knowledge in the sciences, arts and social sciences. However, always remember that “the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom”. Whatever else you do, never stop learning, for learning never ends. Challenge: The brain of a non-learner rusts and soon grows mental cobwebs. Prayer: Lord, give me ability to continue learning.
