DR CONOR BRADY TO SPEAK AT TURID RUGAASs DOG SYMPOSIUM, FEB 14 2015!!! A lot of you trainer folk will be familiar with Turid Rugaass work. I know I leaned heavily on some of her lessons (especially her calming signals) when I was a trainer in guide dogs. Its so important that people attempt to understand what the dog is telling you (and not so much what you are telling the dog). Learn their language, theyre learning yours!!! Anyway, its a great feeling that Turid got on to me over the weekend to ask would I be one of five guest speakers at the Dog Symposium in Oslo, Norway 2014! dogsymposium/ What an honour!! Im made up. Normally I had to pester the people in the door but more and more often groups are now approaching us to learn a bit about how to feed dogs real food. As dry food sales (in volume) plummet world wide, the tides are finally changing toward fresh meat and fresh ingredients, to the benefits of millions of dogs worldwide. I will give the same talk I have given to lots of vets, trainers, groomers, breeders and dog owners over the last three years. Its a four parter: - the dog as carnivore - dry food as a food source - the hows and whys to feeding dogs a fresh meat diet - food and the most common health issues I give it every year and I will again this year. More than that a few of us were talking about getting a little natural gathering going here in Ireland later this year (not a nudist thing, more a meeting of minds, though if the demand is there....) - would you guys be interested in something like that? What would you like to see at this event?
