* * * The most insidious violence of all!!! :( Domestic Violence!!! * * * ... my modest sharing of the day is one about a subject that is as terribly tragic, as it is omnipresent yet invisible through our days... it is a tragedy and horror that literally dozens of my friends (and several of my ex companions) have been the victims of!... and most probably many in your life as well... Watching that video brought so many tears to my eyes and to my heart :( ... and I hope that it will for you as well as we simply can never for an instant forget how this is the horrible daily reality of so many Women... 1 in 4 Woman WILL experience domestic violence in their lifetime! Look around you at the grocery store, at the café where you are enjoying lunch, at your PTA meeting at school, at your childrens soccer game, at your church, at your work... everywhere.... if you look at 4 Women around you... 1 of them will have lived, or one day will... or just did today :( ... this nightmare!!! In one of my past lives (when I used to make lots of money trading the stock market), I tried my best to often help many local charities for battered Women (such as Genesis Home, right in downtown Durham) and I believe that much of our efforts should be dedicated to fighting any and all kind of violence, towards Women, towards Children... towards ANYONE and EVERYONE!... that violence is everywhere around us so lets never for an instant forget it... and lets always reach out to their victims... for they need all the help, love and support that we can offer... When you drive through your neighborhood today... look at the homes... and count... and even if you live in a very cookie cutter - nice families neighborhood just as I do, yet please think for an instant of what is going on behind the manucured lawns and pristine front porchs... and reach out. Never stop doing so... for not a single person on the face of our beautiful earth should EVER get hurt, in any ways, shape or form, by another human being (especially those claiming ... they love them! :( ) ... EVER! With much much MUCH love to you
