DT Wiley Opportunity For Pittsburgh Youth! With all the uproar about Trayvon Martin, I put out a call for 10 slots to be filled for a FREE Computer Science experience. I see it as an investment in our children. A chance to invest in our children instead of investing more time watching CNN, FOX, etc who could care less. My partner and I agreed to pay the cost of food and transportation. I received one response from Clairton (Thanks Tara Sparks-Gatling, Darren B. McCormick and others who shared it) and his son wasnt able to participate. You mean to tell me that every 8th - 12th grader in Pittsburgh is busy? Cant use a new educational experience? Are we saying, our children cant afford to miss footbal or cheerleading as I have been told by some but they can afford to miss learning how to write computer code in this day and time? I am asking FB Fam to once again share this information. I always hear the complaints about our children not getting opportunities, etc. I am asking to give 10 students a new experience and the only thing they have to give in return is be a willing participant and have fun.
