Daily missive for Tuesday the 16th of July In a time of reflection when rhetoric is of efficiency making savings and not cuts, lives hang in the balance like washing on a line drying out in a wet house. When the word austerity is a hammer to beat the world flat and gift wrap it in poverty, people fall in the gutter, to be thrown on the heap and carried to hell on a hand cart. In a time of melancholy when the pain of loss is in us all and the wind of change blows like the devils own the weak are swept away as frightened survivors cling on.
