Day 7, not too many dramas but had its moments. Stacey kindly took the girls this morning so I could race. Was funny the amount of people at the race who said theyve really enjoyed the updates and couldnt wait for the next one!! Frances Bender youve created a monster!!! Had another washing issue as seemed to be running out of cycling gear. Again the Mankini was shouting at me to wear it but the race was in the Adelaide hills and it can get a bit chilly in the morning so didnt think this would have helped my look! Anyway I got the girls up early and although they looked like they had been dragged through a hedge backwards I dropped them off. After my race I picked them up and, just for a change, went out for lunch!! I got the girls a hot chocolate which turned out to be a scalding hot chocolate. I should have asked for colder ones but forgot. Poor Lauryn took a drink and a combination of drinking molten lava chocolate milk and the new gap the size of a car door in her teeth meant she sprayed 200 degree milk all over the table and herself. As usual with the first 5 minutes in a restaurant she got everyones attention but eventually calmed down!! When I came back from the race Liam had tidied the kitchen which was a huge relief to me. I had been worried about the work involved in this all morning. Steph Ingram asked us all round for a superb home cooked dinner tonight. We loved it and was very nice to be asked. Tonight the girls are back at Staceys as I have to go to Melbourne for a couple of days. When I fly back on Tuesday night Liz gets in around the same time so my updates are now over. Been a laugh this week and Ive loved spending so much time with the kids and Miley although weve missed Liz. I work away from home a bit so time with the kids can be limited at times. I may be 44 but Ive learned a lot in the last week. Also, because I managed 4 meters sliding on dog pee during the week without falling over, Im going to take up surfing!! Ive posted enough this week so Ill go back to leaving it to everyone else. Daddy day care over and out.
