Day Ten- Reining impulses takes a lot of practice. Just as an athlete takes time to prepare mentally before using a muscle, we must be still in His Presence to equip us for the day. The Lord gives feedback and encouragement on the situations that we are facing. To some, this may feel like discipline, however, it is so tender and loving like that of a compassionate father. Ultimately, no matter how painful, it is for our best interest and good in our lives. My biggest struggle is being able to wait on promises He has already made. I am a hit the ground running, type A kinda girl. So, patience has been one of the most maturing virtues in this season. My prayer today is that the Lord keeps my thoughts focused one day at a time. When I get ahead of Him, I tend to harden my heart at His promises and those that are involved. Only the Lord knows why He chooses certain moments to open doors. If they were opened before I was ready, it could be a disaster. I choose to wait and take instruction without resentment. For His Love is unconditional and pure... That is something that most Christians do not understand. Lord, help me to grow in grace and to develop this kind of Love for my own family. In Jesus Name, I pray... Amen!
