Dear American Consumer, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR COLLECTIVE DAMNED MIND?! Ill explain! I drove my Mother home after celebrating an amazing Thanksgiving meal, prepared by my wife, Meri, and my favorite cream cheese coffee cake, made by my wonderful Mother-In-Law, Kathy Engel, (Im not sharing) after which, on my return trip, I decided to make a stop. As Wal-Mart is in Harvard, where I live, and not what would be called a Mecca of Midwest City Life, I figured Id pop in to the Health Section, and pick up some Alka Seltzer Cold Tablets. No big deal. As I arrived at 5:45pm, the car park was full, Harvard Police were there for the 6pm Black Friday sale, to keep disputes, and possible fights from happening, and pallets of crap, that is marked down for the foot rush of feckin idiots dotted the aisles, with people drooling, slobbering, and reverting to Neanderthals! Is this what the Holidays have come to? Thanksgiving with employees fighting idiots for their own well being, and consumers, on a day to be Thankful for what they have, plotting to run their fellow neighbor over to get a Barbie House, or Radio Controlled truck? Seeing it first hand, for the first time disgusted me a bit, watching these goofs argue amongst themselves. Me, Ill stick to a traditional Thanksgiving, Macys Thanksgiving Parade, football, turkey, dressing, tryptophan coma, etc. Heres hoping your Holiday was great.
