Dear Friends and Colleagues, Action Aid’s Global Platform Myanmar is pleased to announce that scholarships for the 7th batch of its Youth Participation in Governance training are now available. This time, the focus will be on the YOUTH POLICY: how young people can engage with youth policy processes and participate in governance structures to build a democratic society. The training provides 4 weeks of intense learning, sharing of experiences and practicing strategies and tools that empower youth to promote meaningful youth participation in community and have a direct role in youth policy process. As with previous batches, we match theory with practical exercises and field excursions to ensure the knowledge you gain can be applied once you return from the training. The training will run full-time from 17th Nov to 12th Dec 2014 in English language at Action Aids dedicated youth capacity development centre named Global Platform Myanmar in Yangon. Participants will have access to experienced international and local trainers and guest speakers who are leading roles in Myanmar policy processes including youth policy and opportunities to participate in real-life governance process. The course fee is $1,000 including food and accommodation but not transport. Full scholarships are available to participants from developing countries, which covers everything except for transport to Yangon.
