Dear Members of the Xavier San Juan and Nuvali communities, - TopicsExpress

Dear Members of the Xavier San Juan and Nuvali communities, This past weekend, the news media have flooded us with news about the massive devastation wrought by Typhoon Yolanda to thousands upon thousands of our people in the eastern Visayas. Many of us initially whispered Thanks be to God! that Metro Manila was spared the worst of the typhoon, but as communication lines were restored, we began to realize the magnitude of the devastation, especially in Leyte and Samar. Hundreds if not thousands have died. People drowned in the storm surges; bodies were found floating or strewn in the streets together with the debris. A lot of infrastructure has been completely destroyed. Out of desperation, people have resorted to looting in Tacloban and the national government may need to step in to restore order. May I once again call on the generous and compassionate hearts of the members of the Xavier community to extend assistance to the people affected. Together, let us reach out and help our Visayan brothers and sisters badly affected by this super typhoon. Xavier Sulong Muli! For now, we will be accepting only monetary donations. You may send your cash or check donations (payable to Xavier School, Inc.; at the back please write Xavier Sulong Muli) from November 11 to 20, 2013. Those in San Juan can transact directly through the Accounting Office. Donations in Nuvali may be brought to the Principals Office. Let us let our light shine during this moment of great need in our country. Sincerely, (SGD.) Fr. Aristotle C. Dy, SJ School President Xavier School
