“Dear Stephen.” So began Premier Kathleen Wynne’s latest written appeal to Prime Minister Stephen Harper for a face-to-face meeting. “As you may be aware, Friday, Dec. 5 marked the first anniversary of our last face-to-face meeting,” she wrote Thursday as the legislature rose for the Christmas break. “That is too long between a meeting of the prime minister and the premier of Canada’s largest province, whose relationship should be one of collaboration, not confrontation.” Harper’s office declined to weigh in on Wynne’s latest correspondence. The prime minister indicated last week he will eventually get around to meeting with the Ontario premier “at some point in time.”
