Dear Wisconsin Friends, It is imperative that you make 3 calls TODAY to stop Common Core based accountability in Wisconsin. Senate Bill 1 and Assembly Bill 1 are bills that hold public, charter, and voucher schools accountable to the state of Wisconsin by using Common Core aligned Smarter Balanced assessments. It threatens to remove local control from public schools, charter schools, and parental choice (voucher) schools that fail to do well on these exams. The senate bill one-ups the assembly bill and even sets up two unelected, unaccountable boards to do all the dirty work so the people lose their voice in the process!
