Dear fast food workers wanting the minimum wage to be $15 an hour...please wake up! Taking orders at McDonalds should not be a CAREER! If you want more than $7.25 per hour, increase your value, increase your skill, educate yourself and move on to something better. Working at a fast food restaurant should be temporary unless you want permanent financial hardships. Get skills that require more than asking would you like fries with that? I know firefighers who dont make $15 per hour and you think you should be paid more than them? For taking orders at a fast food, you should earn $31,200 per year? Let me educate you on how economics work. You will be replaced by machines that can do your job, you know computer screens that can take orders. Or your hours will be cut dramatically, or let go. And if you do get the higher pay, that puts you at a higher tax bracket. Have more pride and self worth for yourself. Instead of relying on the Government to give you hand outs, take responsibility for your own life, better yourself, and increase your value by gaining new skills and educating yourself. If I was in your shoe, I would ask the restaurant owner to mentor me so I could be like them one day. Rant over. Have a great Friday everyone!
