Denny’s Hungry for Education (HFE) Scholarship Program Deadline: September 15, 2013 Administered by the LULAC National Educational Service Centers (LNESC), the Denny’s Hungry for Education (HFE) scholarship program is designed to recognize high school and college students who are trying to help fight childhood hunger in their communities. The application is available online by clicking here. LNESC will award a one-time $1,000 scholarship to three incoming freshmen and five college sophomores, juniors, and seniors. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for a scholarship: • Applicants must be residents of AZ, CA, CO, DC, GA, IL, NM, NV, NY, SC, or TX. • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. Grades and academic performance will serve as indicators of potential; however, an emphasis may be placed on the individuals essay submission.
