Depressing news of a Ladys experience in DELHI, this time saved by the skin and presence of mind. This incident was experienced by Anushka Manchandas (Singer) mother, Mrs. Tarminder Manchanda Read on and help spread the news further to ensure that these so called professional services stand up and take notice - Delhi gave me a terrifying experience!!! What a harrowing morning I had. I asked for an OLA cab for the Airport. Left my sisters home at 7 in the morning. The driver asked me where i was headed. Ola cabs have an app where it is one touch ,book a ride. Used their service here in Mumbai and Delhi too before this episode with no problems. The driver asked if I would like to go from Barapulla or the DND. I said DND and he suggested that Barapulla would be clear of traffic so it was a better route. I agreed. He drove way past Mayur Vihar and then told me that we were on the border and would have to pay a toll tax of 65 rs. I found that strange and asked him where we were. He said we were close to the DND and next we would go over the DND and pay a toll there too!! I was talking on the phone with my husband who asked me where the hell I was heading. I then started shouting at the driver and asked him to go straight to the DND. He took a u turn under a flyover and started heading towards Akshardham ( Saw the signage) .He then took me to a Rickety shack on the side and said give me the money to pay the toll. I asked for a receipt and he said there would be none. I saw some cars approaching and jumped out of the cab and started shouting. Delhi being what it is turned a blind eye and ear!!!!! I called my sister and she asked me to identify the place which I could not and the guys around were no help.!! I could see the Metro on my right and described the place. She called the cops who of course never picked the phone up. In the meantime I called OLA cabs help line and after listening to me said they would get the supervisor to talk to me!!! No one called and my subsequent calls to them were picked up and then disconnected!!!!! By the time my sister came there it was 8.15. I was getting late so dumped my luggage and my sis drove her car like a maniac to get me to the Airport on time. She said I was headed to UP!!!!!! Abduction?? Maybe!!!! Called the cops again and they asked me to write a complaint at the Airport. Checked my baggage in and the Airport Manager sent his staff with me to the counter! No one was there!!!!! So could not make my complaint. Folks Do Not use OLA Cabs services!!!! Yes Delhi, this is more for you than anyone else!!!! They have sent me a bill on my sms!!!!
