Devotional: 27 May 2014 Dont Stay Down Scripture for the day: Micah 7:8 Notice what Micah said here: When I fall, I shall arise! Friend, you may be in a ‘falling’ situation right now - failing health; struggling financially; tension in the family, battling divorce or even single and desperate - you will rise again! Take comfort in the words of the Lord according to Micah. Friend, a fall is not complete until you have risen up. Don’t stay down when you fall! Our fathers of faith, people like Abraham, sinned but he didn’t stay down. David, the man after the heart of God, committed grievous sins but he didn’t stay down. Peter denied Christ three times; he repented and got back on his feet. The fact that you have made mistakes does not mean it is over. No, you are not permanently hedged in. God is a forgiving God. He is a God of reconciliation and restoration. When you sinned don’t run from God, run to God. I prophesy to you in the name of Jesus Christ, this situation will not leave you grounded! You will get back on your feet, stronger than ever before! You will laugh last and declare that truly God is good! You will forget the pains of yesterday because God is going to bring you to the dawn of a new day in the name of Jesus. As long as you have the will to get up, the devil can’t keep you down! Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise.
