Did you miss Revolt Music Conference 2014? Heres the recap... (MIAMI, FL) - October 20, 2014 - Russell Simmons received a standing ovation at the start of Day Two of the Inaugural Revolt Music Conference before leading a sold out crowd in a group meditation during an inspirational keynote address. Simmons encouraged the young group of budding entrepreneurs to stay hungry and appreciate the power of managing ones mind. Day Two panels featured some of the biggest titans of their perspective industries including Frank Cooper (CMO of Pepsico) and Marc Ecko (Founder & Chief Brand Officer of Complex Media) discussing The New Deal: Brands and Artists and legendary music producer Dallas Austin debating The Business of Music Publishing with Jon Platt (President, Warner/Chappell Music), singer-songwriters Ester Dean and James Fauntleroy along with Jessica Rivera (SVP, Head of East Coast Operations of Universal Music Publishing). REVOLT Chairman Sean Diddy Combs led a rousing keynote address entitled #AskDiddy in front of a packed house, offering invaluable career insight and advice to the standing-room-only crowd. At the gala dinner, which included a classic performance by Ne-Yo, Diddy presented his good friend and iconic industry executive Jimmy Iovine with the Started From the Bottom Now Were Here Award and spoke at length about his illustrious forty year career. Iovine then gave a riveting speech about the current state of music and the industrys ever-changing landscape. Said Iovine: In your own way, reflecting your own musical passions, I do call upon all of you to find your way to innovate and be a part of musics future...We are no longer in the music business, but in the business of music.
