Disappointed, but not *shocked* at all. Ohios legislature has voted to BAN all Parties OTHER than the Republican and democrat from the ballot. Republicans in the Ohio legislature eliminated and decertified the Libertarian Party in the State of Ohio - along with every other party except Republicans and Democrats. In addition to that, they eliminated us from the primary in 2014 (since the primary is the ONLY way to declare what party you belong to, they have eliminated anyone BECOMING a Libertarian). So... no way to become a Libertarian - and no party to join anyway. According to their new law, we now have to BECOME a political party again. How? We have to collect over 28,000 signatures (with additional restrictions). Then there are more restrictions to stay a party. Obviously, this is highly immoral and unethical. However, I am not surprised, as people with power will do anything to retain their power. Every Republican in the State of Ohio should be ashamed of their party, and I hope that they draw a line on these shenanigans and do something... anything. Call your representatives, refuse to contribute, leave the party - whatever is necessary to end this ugly game that they want to play and restore morality to a once-proud group of people (Republicans) who are being embarrassed by their party affiliation This is from someone that lives in Ohio.
