Does anyone know Marshall Tucker? Back when this band first started, they had rented a warehouse to set up all their equipment, and practice in. During one early practice session they decided theyd try to pick a name for the band... names were tossed around and then one of the members noticed the name Marshall Tucker written on the key ring to the warehouse door. He suggested they call themselves the Marshall Tucker Band. The real Marshal Tucker was a blind piano tuner who had previously rented the warehouse to do his work in, before the band had rented it for practice sessions... All the members of the band thought this was a great bold sounding name and went with it. .. Regardless that the name isnt really one of the band members names. .. the music they produced was timeless...
