Domestic Violence is serious. It is also a problem. Men loose their gun rights because of a law that the former Sen. Lautenberg passed (llautenberg act) in the 90s. The law does not require any proof and it is not a felony. The laws are not stacked in a mans favor. I do not believe in DV (meaning that it shouldnt happen) but a pissed off girlfriend can ruin your life. An upset boyfriend can do the same but the odds and statistics clearly show that a man is screwed if he is accused of anything. Since then hunting has taken a huge hit because men are not allowed to hunt from a non-felony charge anymore. They aren;t allowed to have a gun among many other things. This is just another example of this rampant BS gone wrong. It happens everyday- the Princeton Lacrosse team ring a bell? It happened to me and I obviously oppose it. I am afraid to say that I am fighting it because it might make me come across as violent. It might happen to you and I hope it doesnt. The law in technical sense actually did not apply to me. I did not live, cohabit, have children with or anything else but it got me. Dont let it get you. Men are scared that know about this, the men that dont, beware.
