Dr. Wayne Wertheim of Rosyln Heights NY, offers his personal and professional opinion on new Redefine Acute Care™ overnight line fillers! At First Glance: As most of you know I am very conservative and very skeptical of new products. Even with my utmost belief in the Rodan and Fields product line,I still take all with a grain of salt until I see claims proven by my own eyes. I tried the Acute therapy strips the other day. I have a very deep furrow in my mid forehead. I have used Botox on this in the past but due to a weak muscle my mid brow drops and I look angry all day so i gave up injecting it. I figured this would be a great place to try the new Acute product. Attached are my before and after photos. As you can see there has been a marked improvement in the length and depth of the furrow. I used two strips across the furrow. Remember this is after only one night. I have to assume that the result will improve even more once used regularly as recommended. Because I am an aesthetic physician clients come to me specifically for Botox. This product will definitely have a place for many people.There are many afraid of Botox and/or injections in general. There are those, like me, that arent happy with some effects of Botox ( I am using Botox as a generic name to cover similar products in the neuro-modulator group i.e., Dysport). There are those that would like a quick fix for certain occasions without committing to spending a lot money or traveling to the doctor. Based on the formulation I dont see a need for skin testing or concern about allergy as hyaluronic acid is a component of our skin. Perhaps there may be a rare person that may have a mild reaction to the adhesive (no different than using a bandaid). So at first glance I am very pleased with the Acute product, I believe it will have a useful place in both the daily aesthetic care of customers as well as a powerful business building tool.
