Dylan is all ready to go inpatient tomorrow. Hell be in overnight if his counts are high enough. This should be the last scheduled hospital stay and the second to last treatment he gets before he starts on maintenance chemo. :) Hes getting there. Tonight I talked to the gentleman from the Hoquiam Police Department. Dylan will be their Chief for A Day in August. The event will take place starting at the Showare Center in Kent and then a motorcade will make its way to the police academy in Burien. There are 34 children that will be Chief for a day at the event representing different cities from around the state. It is going to be a fun day for him and the family! Next week, I will be taking him to get fitted for his Chief uniform including authentic badges. He will then attend a city council meeting in Hoquiam and be officially sworn in. The city of Hoquiam also is trying to set up a couple of other things for him to do out there. He is looking forward to it! Ill be there along with his dad and step-mom and of course I will be getting lots of pictures!! I just have to say that our lives have been truly blessed through this difficult journey the last year. In spite of the ups and downs of treatment, we have been really taken care of by so many of Gods Angels on Earth. Weve been able to have these incredible experiences that put treatment on the back burner and allowed us to focus on just having fun. There have been things that have fallen into place when Ive needed them most and Ive been reminded many, many times that anything is possible when you have faith. Once again , Thank you all for everything. All the prayers, support, love, and help. I will pay it forward!
