E-Book: 30 Days Athletics Altitude in Argentina - part 8 Im running out of time to lower my time! Now that my flesh is softened, I only have two more weeks in Argentina. Next time Im 40 days in altitude, to yield more. I have no club, coach and not have anyone to at least say if Im doing right or wrong. I have to keep working hard, training hard and believe in my potential, time to download, join a club, have a group, a coach and I highlight in Evidence of 800-meter dash. Lets do this! One of the squares of the city of Cachi. Sometimes I would go to the site, after lunch, to write the ebook of my experiences here in Argentina and reflect on athletics. 03/01/12 - TUESDAY - MORNING The next night, I became excited about reading my materials and techniques race was wrong to go to sleep late: 00:20 pm, shots to 600 meters in the morning. At least I managed to negative split the second series of shots of 600 yards. After finishing the shots, trotted a little and enlarged my right to try to loosen the muscles, to relax your legs a bit. I left for my hotel. 03/01/12 - TUESDAY - AFTERNOON In the afternoon, I decided not to train because the muscles were very worn. As tomorrow would train really hard, I took the afternoon to sleep, rest, feed myself well, I moisturize enough, and I dwell too much self-massage with a good cream that I bought here in Argentina to relieve muscle pain. After a delicious dinner in the restaurant thatll always simple, I went to sleep early. Inside the Training Center Cachi: very green, birds, tranquility and even camping for people with family camp. 04/01/12 - WEDNESDAY - MORNING On 04 January, the anniversary of my mother! The training today are shots of 200 yards. Its a workout with total duration short but high-level technical and very demanding, both mentally and physically. I made a good warm up, got ready and calmly made two shots from 200 meters to 26 seconds each, with only 35 seconds apart from one shot to another. It was a good strong start. The first shot did for 26 seconds and the second shot 200 yards also for the same time: 26 seconds. 3 more shots that lacked strong grip, but gave me a blackout and in the middle of the 3rd shot stopped! After 10 minutes apart, again did the rounds of 200 meters, but now with 30 / 31 seconds each, with 130 minute pause between each shot. There were 10 shots 200 yards straight. I performed all the pre-set time and the 10th and last shot I did for 27 seconds and closed with a flourish this stage of training. After walking a bit, I moisturize and recover the high effort that helped him achieve, I was on track to accomplish more work force, with some power exercises, core, balance, abs and push-ups. And the same routine always efficient: back to the hotel, take a shower, have lunch and rest. 04/01/12 - WEDNESDAY - AFTERNOON In the afternoon did not train. I decided to recover, rest to continue training hard tomorrow. I used to call my mother and wish a happy birthday with lots and lots of health and happiness. I told her I would take this one, when I return to Brazil. Too bad I can not be present in Brazil, but it sure is for a good cause: download time on tests of 800 meters in athletics! Note: At lunchtime, the television channel TN from Argentina, I saw the news that Brazil is already the sixth largest economy in the world! This is my country, it gives me pride and delights me! 05/01/12 - THURSDAY - MORNING As there were trained the day before in the afternoon, I recovered more today. I did cross country route of approximately 10 miles, moderate pace and in many stretches, both before and after the race, just to get the muscles softer and lighter. Then when I went to lunch, I ate very well. Here in Argentina does not have beans. Conclusion: each lost about 3 kg in Cachi! I think the bean has to do so, because I did not replace. As rice every day. When rice is not, is fideo (noodles), a delight in the simple restaurant that I like, especially when it comes fideo (noodles) with pojjo (chicken). Also about the fact that intense workouts. In a way these 3 kg I miss. Although I am skinny need muscle mass (even a little) for the strong running 800 meters. Before arriving in Argentina, I weighed 63 kg, now Im 60 kg! Note 1: Interesting as I talked to other athletes here at altitude and training at all lost weight Cachi, not sure why. Does the altitude, the body is naturally more forced to adapt due to the thin air? I weighed 63 kg and 60 kg arrived here. But in my last week at altitude, I was weighing 61 kg! Note 2: In the first week I returned to Brazil, I gained (or rather upped) 5 kg in just 7 days = 66 kg! He awoke at dawn to eat. Once stabilized, lost 1 kg and now I am constantly weighing 65 kg. Those extra pounds help me, because the evidence of 800-meter dash, I use (as well as other athletes at that distance) too hard to maintain high speed (power endurance / tolerance). 05/01/12 - THURSDAY - LATE In the afternoon, as practically every day, very intense heat. Always use a sunscreen to not stay with the peeling, as happened at the beginning of my stay in Cachi, when not used sunscreen and I was not just peeling the skin, but also very painful. Is it bad to sleep until ... I went to the gym to perform labor intensive weight training, with special attention to the legs, to increase my strength and power. It was very useful training I have done. Naturally fatigue go beating, but I can not deliver, I will continue this strong footprint here training at altitude, even with my body aching, I reach the end, I have to download time to enter the club of Campinas. It ... the collection inside is gross! I can not stop halfway, Ill keep doing intense workouts and always seeking exceed my limits, every day, day after day, with absolute certainty! After I train on the track in the morning, returning to the hotel, a quick stop to eat peaches (Duraznos), straight leg. The healthier the food, the better! Note: For several days, I put a little wine and mixed with a bottle of water to go drinking slowly, because wine contains flavonoids, substances that help shield to protect the heart, and increase red blood cells the body, thereby increasing the ability of the body to absorb more oxygen, especially where Im at altitude. Many athletes, even at low altitude, use water with wine, or just a small dose of wine to help increase the bodys ability to capture more oxygen and thus more effectively nourish body cells. Of course the main thing is training hard in itself, but also the details and help make a difference. A nutritionist or doctor can explain more properties with the benefits of grape and wine. 06/01/12 - FRIDAY - MORNING I walked the runway for planes to train. This track has a maximum length of 1600 meters exactly, with markings every 400 meters. The climb to the runway is already a great warming. I made two straight strong 1600 meters in strong level. Then I did some sit-ups and push-ups before trotting back and stretch. The training itself was of short duration up, but with a high level of intensity, so that afternoon I decided to rest to recover better. There was very hot, had a mild crosswind that made the temperature cooler. Note: Some nights under very hungry to eat and I sometimes lose sleep at dawn, especially when training in two periods with high intensity. Maybe its because my body is very tired and can not relax, or even that Im more fit, although I feel and realize Im already adapted in altitude. On side two sneakers, bloodstains, because al high effort: the two fingers opened. Even using tapes to protect the fingers (curitas) did not solve much. Earlier gives up shiver of pain, but then when the body becomes accustomed heats. The problem is when the body cools... 06/01/12 - FRIDAY - AFTERNOON In the afternoon did not train, because tomorrow I will have training in both periods. I used to straighten my room, bought some fruit and another box of cereal because I use every day in my breakfast (desayuno). He had dirty shoes and laundry, I used to straighten and put everything in order. This northern region of Argentina, at altitude, has a clean fresh air that the whole body of toxins. Early in the morning, is a cool climate, mild and very mild, with constant breezes of wind that really enchants. Then, the temperature goes up and getting very hot and stuffy. At dusk, the temperature will gradually fall and on many nights, makes a colder temperature, even in summer, with strong winds and biting cold due to the mountainous site. That means I do not wrap up well for getting a cold and not be able to train. As I was going up to get Cachi, I realized that the vegetation diminished. There are many shrubs, cacti, poplars: more robust trees that can survive where there is less oxygen due to the thin air of altitude. 07/01/12 - SATURDAY - MORNING I woke up this morning with the muscles a bit heavy, even resting in the afternoon the day before. I did a workout with gentle trot on the bridge that goes over the river Calchaquí with a length of 150 meters, always interspersed with many push-ups and sit-ups. In the end, enlarged my very supporting me in the bed of the bridge, to increase my flexibility for the afternoon workout. Part Calchaquí River Bridge, where realized trainings some gentle trot, coordinating educational exercises, specific work force, strong and many abdominal stretches. This time of year the river is low on water. But January, with increased rainfall, the river grows. 07/01/12 - SATURDAY - AFTERNOON I really nailed! After lunch, around 12:00 pm, literally packed in my bed and slept even dreamed up. I woke up at 14:30 pm, ate some cookies natural, drank some water and went back to sleep again because it was only the dust of body. I dreamed again because sleep was deep. I woke up around 17:00 pm. So yes, it was brand new, super rested. I ate again, not too heavy and not to get so far, I went to the athletics track coach. Now I was fully rested and recovered. The weather was hot and muggy, but cloudy and windy at the track. Realized 12 shots of 400 meters, divided into three series, each series with 4 shots. I was very happy and satisfied with my level and my athletic performance. Training was loose, lightweight, highly concentrated, too good, his body fully rested. Gave up to do another series with 4 shots of 400 yards, but as tomorrow is more training, I decided to save for Sunday. At night, went to bed early and woke up at 3:00 am: lost sleep again. Since I could not sleep anymore, I used to read my material athletics.
