EMAIL FROM MEMBER RE: STRUGGLING WITH 17 YR OLD: My eldest is 17, he goes to college 2 days a week. He cant find a part time job, he gets £45 per month from college of which 16 is bus fare & the rest is his. I pay £60 per month for his phone & other things he needs. He doesnt help around the house, no matter how much I rant, he stays up until 3am then sleeps in until 3pm. He doesnt interact with his siblings at all, he wont watch them for me while I pop out etc & it ends in fights (they are 13 & 7) He had serious lung problems but he smokes & hes stealing money off of me, little bits £4 here £3 there. When I find out he doesnt apologise, I have explained that Im a single parent working full time & money is really tight, but he just shrugs. He has Aspergers tendencies. Any advice please?
