EXODUS 18: This Sunday I will be sharing from this section of the Bible and one thing that jumps off the page at me (and hopefully this will help you) is that Moses is getting bogged down because he seems to be trying to do everything himself. We find him listening to people’s disputes from morning till night…EVERY DAY! Now think: Isn’t his main job getting to the people to the Promised Land which means he needs to spend time alone with God to find out how and when to move forward? The answer is yes. Here me someone that needs to hear this because this might be why you are getting frustrated…or maybe this is the reason why you thought you would be further along…or maybe it’s the reason you are getting burned out? Like Moses, we need to get focused on the few things we do well and that we should be doing and NOT try to do everything. You see when we allow our lives to be “governed by what is urgent rather that what is important”…we get stuck. And if you are like me you do not enjoy being stuck. Moses father in law comes in with some great advice for his son in law. This Sunday we are going to examine the wisdom his father in law gives him. See you Sunday. LOVE PEOPLE
