Ebola, racial unrest, the continued unraveling of our legislative and judicial branches of government and a distrust and contempt of the executive branch, . . More presence of war, immigration reform still divided, a 54 year trade embargo to be eased and hope for relations with Cuba to be restored. Wow, what a year! As another year comes to a close and I look forward to the light, my focus is not on the 53 birthday candles that will glow for me on Christmas Eve, or the lights that dance on Christmas decorations . . . but on the light of Hope that dances in my Spirit and resonates in this passage. Isaiah 61:8 (NCV) I, the LORD, love justice. I hate stealing and everything that is wrong. I will be fair and give my people what they should have, and I will make agreement with them that will continue forever. My message of freedom . . the entire chapter of Isaiah 61. This is my Advent Light and my Grownup Christmas List.
