El Salvador - Day 2 and it was awesome! Had traditional breakfast(eggs, beans & plantains) coffee/tea. We had real milk! Our Compassion Staff is such servants. We divided up into 3 groups: Construction; VBS; Prayer Walking. Each group shared tonight miracles, tears & joy in their adventures. Our men are not only constructing a house for a family of 6 they are putting in a 6 ft deep septic tank for them!! Flower did an incredible job leading 2 sessions of VBS; Dotti and our Prayer Team experience 14 salvations, 13 healings & witness 2 miracles! Tears were shared when we learned: that young girl & her family we built the house for last year has leukemia & the teen girl that Flower sponsored was dropped due to her succumbing to the gang influence. After a full day of these activities we did have time to visit the bakery & deliver 3 handmade aprons to the cooks (they make great cookies & cakes), then to the jewelry factory where we gifted them with everything they need to make beautiful jewelry (compliments of Lisa Hallow who does the jewelery for our church bookstore), then to the shoe factory to order custom made shoes. Our teens enjoyed a game soccer & frisbee with the children. Tonight we experienced another evening of great music by their worship team and a teaching by Pastor Miguel. The Prayer time afterwards was very powerful. God gave us many opportunities to be His hands & feet today. Cant wait for tomorrow when we do more outreach & construction. Please keep us in your prayers for health, no injuries etc. Very Hot soup in bowl did break and spill all over Bris hand today - did all first aid and hand seems to be doing well - no blisters!! God is good! Now its off to take a shower and get a good nights rest;-)
