End of the first week, in Moab Utah now, 2584 miles down range, had snow again today at the top of 13,118 foot Imogene Pass. It is 88 degrees here at 9 pm what a change. I made it across two passes today, I faced my fears and crossed Black Bear Pass for the one and only time in my life. Here are a couple of photos of the trail that I took today. The dual sport bikers were having some issues, there was a big puddle before the start of the decent so the rocks were wet and you were sliding down hill towards the abyss if you did not make the sharp right turn at the end. One photo is while the bikers were trying to cope with the down slope and the other is looking back up from the 3 point turn hair pin after the decent. I am so glad I practiced in the driveway My heart rate did not go down for over an hour. I may not be able to get my sphincter unlocked for days. A day that I will always remember.
