EnerSys Richmond is now accepting applications for a Shipping Receiving Clerk at the Richmond Plant. Applications are accepted only online at . The enersys. Starting rate of pay is $18.33 an hour increasing to $19.41 an hour in one year. SUMMARY: Shipping and receiving clerk coordinates shipping documents and reconciles production reporting daily; prepares transport documents for out of country shipments. Completes and maintains UPS (United Parcel Service) shipping records. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1) Coordinate receipt, filing and accuracy of shipping documents. 2) Prepares shipping documents for UPS shipments, including out of country shipments. Insures required documents are accurately completed and maintained in an orderly file. 3) Accurately and timely completes entries into BAAN. 4) Creates all plant shipment documents from hand bill of lading. 5) Provides back up coverage for Department 75 employees. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution and at least one year experience in an administrative support role at a manufacturing facility or distribution center. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None COMPETENCIES: 1. Possess above average computer, written and verbal communication skills; proficient in use of MS office products. Ability to create spreadsheets for analysis and tracking of various information. Knowledge of Baan preferred. 2. Knowledge in standard materials management and scheduling practices. 3. Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and meet deadlines. 4. Excellent interpersonal skills including: (a) ability to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving instructions: (b) should get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes; (c) perform work activities requiring negotiating, instructing, persuading or speaking with others; (d) respond appropriately to criticism from managers and peers. 5. Provide relief support for other departments. 6. Comply with standard shipping and receiving procedures Computer Skills: Ability to use computer systems including MRP and MS office. Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend basic information, instructions and correspondence in standard business English. Ability to write basic instructions and correspondence. Ability to present information in one-on- one and small group situations to other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent. Ability to create and interpret Pareto Charts, Bar Graphs, Flow Charts and other quality tools as required. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply basic knowledge to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving multiple concrete and/or abstract variables.
