Ericson Elo: Hello friends, please I am in a very tight situation and really need your help. Kindly read and share your thoughts. I sat for WAEC in year 2008 (in a secondary school in Enugu State) and made nice grades, so I used the online printout of the WAEC result to gain admission into a university in north central Nigeria in year 2009. I graduated last year and was successfully cleared by the university management. Upon application, I was offered admission this year for Masters programme in the same school, and during the screening, it was required that I bring the original of my WAEC certificate in place of the online printout I presented (since it was up to five years I sat for the WAEC exam). I had to travel back to Enugu in a bid to get this certificate, only to discover that the secondary school in question had been closed down by authorities. After much stress, I was able to locate the principal of the school, and upon investigation, was told that the WAEC results obtained from that school in year 2008 were all CANCELLED. We bought scratch card and checked online and I saw it with my eyes (all the subjects I wrote had “cancelled” labelled against them). The principal was even surprise to see that I had a valid printout with me. Now I am so confused. What do I even think or where do I go from here? How will this discovery affect my academic endeavour and what can I do about it? I have used that printout to successfully acquire a second class upper result from a university; does it mean the university certificate will also be invalid? Please somebody should just say something; I will appreciate any useful comment here Lawyers in the house abeg make una put mouth
