Essentially, God has no gender. If we assign the Universal Being, a gender, it means we are assigning love, compassion, peace and bliss with a gender, and gender is associated with the Ego, and we are confining ourselves to the Ego. As much the mystics have been men and women, over centuries, but the nurturing qualities of a Mother has always been the same - a nature of the universal spirit. God doesnt need a religion for definition, and isnt even waiting for it. The passively active being is within every finite structure, hidden, but still, expressing itself, in an actively passive way. This is the essential core of every being, and unless we go into it, by dissolving our minds, we wont be able to see infinity, in each other, and all other creatures, and even inanimate objects. God is essentially nothing - just an idea, a thought, an imagination.
