Even the police arent immune from scams. This happened yesterday on one of our lines: One of our Sergeants wanted to make sure all of you were aware. We just got an unsolicited phone call here from, Steve from the Technical Department at Comcast. He was threatening to turn off our internet if I didnt follow some steps at my computer. I began asking him a bunch of questions, such as a call back number, his employee ID, etc, none of which he could answer. I told him he had reached the Police Department and he promptly hung up. I am sure it was a scam. Not sure if you want to tweet something about a Comcast Scam. I would hate to see this happen to someone else out there. If this happens to you, call the company and verify. Never open the door for any utility or cable company if you didnt have an appointment. Call the police!
