Evening Post- Day 155. Stone has had a good day . Hes felt well. His blood pressure and blood sugars have been good .. Tried to let him rest as much as we could today to be ready for tomorrows rehab . We did get him up in the gate trainer for a walk and he can do that unassisted pretty much. Im back at home tonight with the kids. Home two times in one week! That will let you know Stones doing good . Amy and I have a routine text system that lets the other one know his vitals and other numbers we follow as they come up. Last night as I sat with Stone, playing with his toys, I thought well I guess Ill just order a pizza eat right here in the room. I made the call and the lady says it will be an hour. I said no thank you, I didnt want it that bad. Thirty minutes later I thought, Ill try that wing place. They deliver. But as I looked over the menu, Stone threw his ball at me because I was looking at the menu and not him . So I thought well its not wings tonight . We played on. Then one of the nurses stuck her head in the door and asked if I needed anything? I asked if she would sit with Stone a minute while I run downstairs. A sandwich sounded fine at this point. So she agreed and I was off . Not knowing at the time that there was a reason why I needed to be downstairs at that appointed time . On my way back up, I spotted a PICU nurse who was special to us and she was with Stone in the darkest of time. The moment we made eye contact it was on. She didnt know that we were back and Im trying to tell her how good hes doing and I was just so happy to run into her. I said come see him anytime . She replied how about right now? Lets go was all I said. While riding up on the elevator, I said you want believe how he is She said Yes, I will. I believe in God. I know what He can do. But I still dont think she was ready to see one of Gods miracles . I watched her as she entered the room . When she saw Stone, her face turned red and she was all smiles and tears . The emotion just gushed from both of us. She got down on her knees at Stones bed side and played and talked to Stone . The experience was unbelievable as we talked about how God used all of these key doctors at just the right time . Stone is here today because God made sure His doctors were there when Stone really needed them . We cried tears of joy and hugged each other like we were family . As she walked away I said thats part of you laying there. She said No, its God. So tonight I give praise to God for not only what He has already done for Stone but what is yet to come . And I thank God for all of you and I am looking forward to the day that we see you and I get to hear your story of how you prayed and how this has effected you. God is not done with Stone are any of us. Train rolling on.
