Every year on my Birthday I sit and reflex on the year that has gone by. There has been many blessings and many life lessons for which I am grateful for and would like to give thanks. Ill break it down into stages as the year has gone by: Last November I was given a gift of the most beautiful baby boy who throughout this year has brought great joy and pure innocence into my life and I am extremely proud to be his Aunty. I have been stabbed in the back by someone I let into my life and my home, who has stolen almost everything I saved and have earned. But I give thanks for the lesson, it has shown me who is about me and who is just trying to get ahead. This also tested the loyalty of my true friends who have stuck by my side for many many years. I have meet some new people along the way this year who are genuine, kind hearted and all in all great people to be around. In the beginning of this year I almost lost my life in a car accident which set me way back in the recovery of my previous injuries but God put an Angel in my front seat that morning as I am still alive. This happened the day before my fathers 60th birthday and I am thankful for him as he is always there for me no matter how much he may bicker and fuss my Dad is always there. I want to give thanks for my Brothers, one who just launched a new business and the other who is officially a Doctor. Also for my mum who is my biggest supporter and full of pure love. I have loved and lost this year but it has been an experience I needed to grow. To get to know who I am, what I deserve and what I believe in. I have learnt to let go and move on and to not settle for less. I found myself jobless a few months ago and with the support of my closest friends who continue to push my forward I launched my very own Real Estate company which has taken off and is thriving. Recently My dear friend gave birth to a little miracle who in a few weeks I will be proud and honoured to take on the roll of being his Godmother to help lead and guide him on the right path. And Lastly this November I am on a Birthday Trip of a lifetime to Africa, which most people may never get to experience. I am thankful for running water, a roof over my head, clean food, clothes, my health and my education as these are things we take for granted and are fortunate to have. I am here with someone who supports me, who cherishes me, and who is proud of me. He lifts me up and makes me a better person, I am focused, grounded, thankful, grateful ,loved, truly happy and most of all Blessed. Cheers to another year of life and I cant wait to see what this year has in store for me. Happy Birthday to me! (African Time)
