Everyone thinks the Emirates cup to be insignificant, but we all love it. Ive been an arsenal fan for a decade now. Earlier we had open training days. Free of cost. One day the first team used to train at the Emirates right in front of us. The opportunity for kids, us to see dem click pics with us, joke and have fun. Then came this 2-day long annual competition. A lot of the tickets are free for these 2 days. All kids get Junior Gunners goodies. You should see them. 3 decent opponents and our arsenal. And the atmosphere. Its festive. Its cheap/ free. And we love how Arsene Wenger makes the arsenal squad every year spend time with us after the game. You call it a waste, on a professional front, maybe yes, but as a gooner in London, we all now look forward to this festivity. Last yr my kid won a competition and even went to the first-team locker room to meet the squad. Thats the happiest Ive ever seen him. Coming out on the pitch with Arsene. Thanks to my 4-yr kid, I spoke to Arsene dat evening. Youve a very intelligent kid - he said. Does he play football?
