Ex-militants fault foreign support against Boko Haram WARRI— A group of ex-freedom fighters in Delta State under the aegis of defunct Niger-Delta Liberation Force, NDLF, yesterday, faulted Federal Government’s acceptance of foreign army to fight Boko Haram, saying it was unnecessary. The former agitators, in a statement by their spokesman, Mark Anthony, said: “We are surprised to see third-party military support when the real fight has not begun. Let the Nigerian government strike the Boko Haram strongholds in the North first and if the government is seen to be over-powered, that is when we will need foreign military/logistics support to fight the insurgents. “The two parties have not had any confrontation. Foreign army should hold on until the scores come after their confrontation. The government played politics with the Boko Haram issue at the initial stage until it grew to become a real monster. “The government of Nigeria under the eyes of former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, late Yar’Adua and Jonathan had bombed several Niger Delta communities before the amnesty.” Do you agree with them???
